Dear Vysionaries,
(Especially those of you who have attended a Bali Retreat in the last 5 years at Jenny's Place)
In March 2020 I ran my last Bali Retreat... and during that week the world changed.
ALL TOURISM ON BALI STOPPED OVERNIGHT.
The day we left, Jenny's closed its doors. Who knows when it will reopen.
Jenny tells me that every one of her staff members is now doing seaweed farming now, which takes time and money to get going. And doesn't pay much even when it gets going.
"They have been doing it tough," says Jenny.
I've been wanting to send over some money to show my love for our Bali family.
Now is the time.
I thought that you might want to show your love too, so I set up this fundraiser.
Jenny is a partner in 4 tourism properties on Lembongan and Ceningan. If you met her you know she is a power house woman who is constantly building and gets sh*t done. She has lived there for 30+ years and has fully integrated her life with the Balinese. She even gave up her Australian passport and became Indonesian!
Her staff are like her family. Like our family too!
She told me she can't give to the staff of one property without giving to her staff at her other properties too.
There are 12 staff at Jenny's and 25 staff total.
Whatever money we collect I'm going to send to Jenny's account and she will spend it on food essentials (rice, noodles, eggs, etc...) and distribute them equally among all 25 of her staff.
So we have the opportunity to give to 25 families in one go, and Jenny is going to do the hard yards of purchasing the goods, inviting everyone over to her place, and distributing them like Santa Claus.
If you've been to a retreat at Jenny's you know how well they look after us... cleaning up after us, always smiling, always welcoming, and keeping Jenny’s running smoothly in the background (well, relatively smoothly... it IS a remote island village experience :) while we focus on the life-changing VysionQuest work and play.
Donations will close on Friday, Oct 16.
I would love to see us smash this new goal of AUD$6000 in the next week.
$5 in Australia or the States is NOTHING... a coffee.
On Bali it's dinner for a family.
I'm deeply grateful for any contribution. $20... $200... or more. It's money well spent and Jenny will make sure we get the biggest bang for our buck.
Think back to your Retreat, remember what that week and that place meant to you, and give from there.
Bali has given us so much. It's our turn to give back to her now.
