Support for Occupancy Permit
Donations are welcome for the final construction work of the Meditation Hall.
All our meditation programs (in Sinhala and English language) are open to the public. Your kindness and generous donation will benefit many children, youth and adults to use this meditation hall in order to participate in free programs such as mindfulness practice, stress-management, anger-management, counselling, and meditation retreats. They will use this meditation hall to organize community service events such as food drives, cloth drives, blood drives, tree planting and community clean up. Your kind and generous heart will bring much peace to many hearts! This good karma will bring immense peace to your heart!
Mahamevnawa Monastery in Winnipeg was established in the year 2015 with the blessings of the most venerable Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero. All of the teachings and services at the monastery are offered free of charge. We are currently located at 2610 St Mary’s Road. To support the ongoing public programs, we have recognized the importance of enhancing the in-house meditation facility which allows us to serve the community with more programs and services including the facilities for people with disabilities.
As per the building code and by-law (City of Winnipeg) requirement, this development required a series of approval/development processes (zoning, planning approval, etc.). We have completed most of the development work and are now in the final stage to get the occupancy permit.

Tax Receipts
