Help Our Family Move Forward After the Loss of Our Son, Noah

Our son, Noah, tragically passed away on Monday, July 6. He was only 22 years old.

His life was cut short in a heartbreaking tragedy when he was struck by a truck. Our family has been devastated by this unimaginable loss, and we are trying to cope with the overwhelming grief that comes with losing someone we love so deeply.

Noah spent nearly his entire life in our family home in Waukesha, Wisconsin. That home holds countless memories of him—growing up, celebrating birthdays and holidays, playing, preaching from a pretend pulpit, and so many other moments that we will always treasure.

But now, the home where Noah spent most of his life has become incredibly difficult for us to remain in. We are reminded of him in virtually every room, and the grief has made it increasingly difficult to find peace there.

For the sake of our family's emotional well-being and healing, we feel that we need to make a fresh start in a new place. Our hope is to sell our home and relocate so that we can begin rebuilding our lives in an environment that is not filled with constant reminders of our loss.

Unfortunately, before we can put our home on the market, there are a number of major repairs and improvements that need to be completed. We simply do not have the financial resources to take care of these expenses while also paying for the costs of moving and establishing a new home.

At the same time, I am emotionally exhausted. Losing my son has taken an enormous toll on me, and the grief has made it incredibly difficult to find the strength, energy, and motivation to take on the work that needs to be done. Tasks that once seemed manageable now feel overwhelming.

We are doing our best to move forward one day at a time. This has been the most difficult season of our lives, and we are asking for understanding, compassion, and any assistance that might help our family take this next step.

How Your Donations Will Help

Our goal is to prepare our home for sale, sell it, and relocate our family so we can begin the difficult process of starting over.

Your generosity will help us with several major expenses:

Critical Home Repairs: Addressing major issues that need to be repaired before the house can be placed on the market, including structural, roofing, and other necessary repairs.

Pre-Sale Improvements: Materials and labor for essential work such as painting, drywall repairs, door replacement, window replacements, trim work, cabinet work, appearance updates, and other improvements needed to prepare the home for sale.

Relocation Expenses: Depending on the amount raised, we may need professional movers, packing supplies, storage, and a rental truck to move our family and belongings.

Transition and Housing Costs: Helping us secure a safe new place to live and cover the initial expenses involved in establishing our family in a new home.

Every donation, regardless of size, will help us overcome these financial obstacles and take one step closer to being able to sell our home and relocate.

Being able to sell our home and move would not erase our grief or take away the pain of losing Noah. Nothing could do that. But it would give our family the opportunity to begin healing in a place where we are not surrounded every day by the painful reminders of his absence and the tragedy we have experienced.
