Hi everyone,

My sister Maddie and her husband Nathan are expecting their baby next month, and we’re so excited for them!

Maddie will need to take the rest of the school year off, but being a teacher means maternity leave is unpaid, and she only has a limited number of sick days saved. Her plan right now is to use her saved sick days, and then go back to work to finish off the school year to avoid having to take any unpaid sick days.

We’re putting this together to help take some of that financial pressure off and to make sure Maddie doesn’t have to return to work after only having a couple weeks at home with her new baby!
