Support for my mother's challenging journey

Dear Friends, Family, and Caring Individuals,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. I'm reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request for assistance as my family navigates challenging times. My parents are facing significant battles—a tumor diagnosis and the progressive effects of Alzheimer's disease for my mother, and financial hardship for my father. As my mother's caregivers, my sister and I have shown up to the task from a place of love every day, We're determined to provide them with the care and support they deserve, and we hope to gain forces with the help of my community. For I know, we don't need to do it alone.

In March 2020 my mom went through a brain tumor surgery, and since then she's been living with cancer and Alzheimers. Fast forward three years later she has lost her left eye to the tumor. Our world turned upside down. The emotional and financial burden that comes with fighting cancer is immense, and it has taken a toll on our family. Thankfully the medical expenses, including surgeries, treatments, and medications, have all been covered by her insurance. Yet the expenses of her daily care place an enormous strain on our monthly finances. Unfortunately, these facilities come with a significant financial commitment that I am opening up to receiving help with.

As we explore every possible avenue to ensure she receives the best care, we are left with mounting bills yet unlimited support and resources.

I have set up this GoFundMe campaign to seek financial magical assistance to alleviate the burden of memory care and non-emergency costs for my mom and a landline to help with my father's financial future. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards ensuring their comfort, quality of life, and the best possible medical care.

Espero que este mensaje los encuentre a todos con buena salud y buen humor. Me dirijo a ustedes hoy con una sincera solicitud de ayuda mientras mi familia atraviesa tiempos difíciles. Mis padres enfrentan batallas cruciales en su tercera edad: un diagnóstico de tumor y los efectos progresivos de la enfermedad de Alzheimer para mi madre y dificultades financieras en Venezuela para mi padre. Mi hermana y yo nos hemos dado la tarea de estar al pie del cañon desde el amor todos los días. Estamos decididos a brindarles la atención y el apoyo que merecen, y esperamos ganar fuerzas con la ayuda de nuestra comunidad. Porque sé que no necesitamos hacerlo solas.

En marzo del 2020 mi mamá fue operada de un tumor cerebral y desde entonces vive con cáncer y Alzheimer. Tres años después, perdió su ojo izquierdo a causa del crecimiento feroz del tumor. Nuestro mundo se puso al revés. La carga emocional y financiera que conlleva la lucha contra el cáncer es inmensa y ha afectado a nuestra familia. Afortunadamente, los gastos médicos, incluidas las cirugías, los tratamientos y los medicamentos, han sido cubiertos por su seguro. Sin embargo, los gastos de su cuidado diario ejercen una enorme presión sobre nuestras finanzas mensuales. Desafortunadamente, estas instalaciones vienen con un compromiso financiero significativo con el que hoy estamos dispuestas a recibir ayuda.

A medida que exploramos todas las vías posibles para asegurarnos de que reciba la mejor atención, con apoyo y recursos ilimitados de parte de la gente que nos quiere conseguimos crecer juntos en este proceso.
