Support for My Mom’s Battle Against Advanced Lung Cancer

My name is Amine, and I am fundraising for my mother, Zahra, who is currently fighting Stage IV lung cancer in Agadir, Morocco.
A few weeks ago, our lives changed completely. My mother had been struggling to breathe, and after multiple hospital visits, scans, and a biopsy, we received the devastating news:
She has Stage IVB lung adenocarcinoma — an advanced cancer that has spread to her brain and adrenal gland.
She is being treated at the Lalla Salma oncology unit in Agadir. The doctors and nurses are doing everything they can, but the costs of ongoing care are far more than my family in Morocco can manage alone. I live and study in the UK, and I am trying to support my mother from a distance while travelling back and forth whenever she becomes critically unwell.
This illness has taken a huge toll on her physically and emotionally. She is in and out of the hospital, needing oxygen support, chemotherapy preparations, repeated scans, and medication to control her symptoms. There are also many unexpected expenses — medical tests, hospital transport, medications not covered by the public system, and the cost of last-minute flights whenever I need to be by her side.
My mother has always been a strong, caring woman who worked hard her entire life. She raised me alone after my father passed away. She never asked anyone for anything — but now she needs help, and I am doing everything I can to give her comfort, dignity, and proper care during this difficult time.
This fundraiser will help with:
• Ongoing hospital fees and treatments
• Medications and symptom-relief care
• Private scans when required
• Any additional medical needs as her condition changes
Any amount, no matter how small, will make a real difference. If you cannot donate, sharing this page also helps more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for supporting my mother, Zahra, during the hardest battle of her life.
Your kindness means more than words can express.
