Dear Friends,
My name is Enrico Tamayo, and I never expected to be in the position of asking for help in this way, but in humility, my family and I are facing something we have so far been unable to handle alone.
Earlier this year, my father (Fernando Tamayo) was wrongfully accused and convicted of a workplace-related offense in Hong Kong. Anyone who does know him, knows the kind of man he is: principled, hardworking, and quiet in the way he has provided for our family. Unfortunately, the legal system has been unfair, expensive and overwhelming.
We have been working with legal counsel to appeal his case and clear his name. However, the legal fees and ongoing proceedings have completely drained our family savings already. My mother has been doing everything she can to stay strong, and my wife and I have contributed everything we can. But I recently graduated, am early in my career, living abroad, paying off student debt, and building a life and family of my own here in the US.
My parents immigrated to Hong Kong, and don't speak the local language, so seeking support there has proven fruitless. After giving all I can as their only child, we’ve reached the point where the financial burden has become more than we can carry alone.
All funds raised will go toward ongoing legal representation and court filing cost, laid out as follows:
- 6,000 HKD (as soon as possible)- ($771 USD)
- 100,000 HKD 1 month before the trial (January 4th 2026) ($12,853 USD)
- 44,000 HKD on day of trial (February 4th 2026)- ($5,655 USD)
= $19,279 USD Total
We are not asking for anything other than legal cost, and the resources to keep fighting for justice.
If you are able to donate, please know it means more than just financial support. It tells my family that we are not alone. If you can’t donate, sharing this page or keeping us in your prayers are equally as meaningful.
With gratitude,
The Tamayos
