Dear Friends,

My name is Enrico Tamayo, and I never expected to be in the position of asking for help in this way, but in humility, my family and I are facing something we are unable to handle alone.

Last year, my father Fernando Tamayo was wrongfully accused of a workplace-related offense in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, the Hong Kong legal system has been unjust, expensive, and borderline Racist as we navigate the system as non-natives.

Anyone who knows him knows the kind of man he is: principled, hardworking, and humble in the way he has provided for our family.

We have been working with legal counsel to appeal his case and clear his name. However, the legal fees and ongoing proceedings have completely drained our family savings already. My mother has been doing everything she can to stay strong, and my wife Ellsie and I have contributed everything we can. But I recently graduated college, am early in my career, paying off student debt, and building a life and family of my own here in the Minnesota.

My parents immigrated to Hong Kong, and don't speak the local language, so seeking support there has proven fruitless. After giving all I can as their only child, we’ve reached the point where the financial burden has become more than we can carry alone.

All funds raised will go toward ongoing legal representation and court filing cost, laid out as follows:
