Dear friends, family, and strangers alike,
Two years have passed by in the blink of an eye since the day I heard of my father's life-changing moment. My father and primary caretaker of our household had been diagnosed with double kidney failure in 2024. The financial strain and medical battles that we had to endure for the past few years have placed an unbearable toll on not just us children but also on my parents.
For those that know my parents, they are the most loving and caring people in my life. They go above and beyond for others and are selfless when helping people in need. In this time of need, I would like to ask friends, family and strangers from afar to help our family heal, grow stronger, and navigate through the difficult journey to come.
My parents are now seeking to move to a different state in hopes of reducing the wait time for finding a potential donor for my father. Due to his rare blood type, the uncertainty and stress that we feel daily have only grown exponentially. As the oldest, I have responsibilities of my own and would love to see my father smile and continue to do so for the rest of the time he is here with us in Minnesota. I have dedicated myself to changing my career to prepare for my life and also to support my family during this tough time. Yet, that is still not enough as the financial toll has changed our lives.
I would like to ask for anyone's help, and no matter how little or how much, my family and I would greatly appreciate it. The funds will go towards any remaining bills, assist my parents to move to begin the process of finding a potential donor, and support my parents in their everyday primary expenses.
Thank you all so much for your love, kindness, and care,
Alexander Her
