Help Support Jodie s fight against breast cancer

Hello, My name is Jodie and I am 37 years old. I am a Mum to 3 beautiful children aged 3,5 and 13.

I have never done anything like this before, it's all new to me and i was dubious about even trying! Its never easy asking for help or admitting you're struggling. It was upon some advice I thought to reach out for support...

In April I was sadly diagnosed with Breast cancer .The results showed early-stage, hormone-positive, grade 3, node-negative, invasive ductal breast cancer. Orginally i was advised that it would only be a small section where surgery would be required. Followed on by radiotherapy and hormonal therapy medication. Sadly, that was not the case as further scans and biopsies showed further pre invasive cancerous cells which lead to a mastectomy on 29th May Im yet to receive the results from the surgery. This will then determine if radiotherapy or chemotherapy is required(i will be posting updates)

Im trying my hardest to remain positive and high spirited - especially for my children! It's been a rollercoaster of emotions but I like to keep thinking there is light at the end of the tunnel and I shall remain strong.

Due to surgery and further treatment, i will be having to take time out to recover...which im hoping isn't too long!

Im very lucky to have the support and love from my family and friends- especially my amazing partner and father to our children(Steven).He will no doubt be there in every way he can but this unfortunately means it affects his working hours and income also. As much as we can only hope it wont affect us for too long, it is still nonetheless a stressful and worrying time for us all.

With less income (and increased travel expenses),we are currently facing the stress and worries of financial burdens on top of my diagnosis. If your kindness and generosity can help ease that - I'll be eternally grateful.
