Support for Murray Family in Fire Aftermath

Very early on Thursday August 29, my brother’s home in Keswick was tragically burnt to the ground. Thankfully, all were safe but they have lost absolutely everything. This was the only home they knew, and they are utterly devastated.

Though we are eternally grateful that they are all safe, the loss that they have suffered has rocked our family. My niece (7) and nephew (12) lost everything that they cherished - all of their toys, sports equipment, back to school supplies and more. My brother now has to pick up the pieces of the home that he raised his children in, while sorting out the extreme financial strain this has put them in.

We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from family, friends and our community. Many are asking how they can help, so we have set up a GoFundMe to make helping them more streamlined. Funds will go toward replacing clothes, food, school supplies, sporting equipment etc for the kids while the house is being demolished and rebuilt. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will help to soften the unbearable sadness that my brother’s family is enduring.
