Support for Mothers of Special Needs Children

Why a 21-year-old Swiss goes to Ghana to help forgotten kids

I just finished my Physics Bachelor.

It is time to visit a different world.

↳ experience another culture

↳ learn something different

↳ contribute to society

↳ see new places

Two weeks ago, I arrived in Accra, Ghana where I was warmly welcomed by Emmanuel and Sally, the director, of SFLIGvolunteers (Solutions for Life Initiative Ghana).

After two weeks, I already had the opportunity:

1. to support drug addicts at a rehabilitation center,

2. to teach mathematics and science at a local orphan school,

3. to build a home out of a container for single mothers with special needs children.

Sally supports mothers of special needs children.

↳ autistic kids

↳ cerebral palsy kids

↳ and many other kids

Why?

↳ The fathers abandon them.

↳ The children face rejection from society.

↳ The mothers face rejection from the community.

Sally organizes support for those mothers:

↳ Arranges classes to teach them to survive.

↳ Empowers them to create products like soap and scarves.

But now it's Sally’s 41st birthday!

Her heartfelt wish?

Empower mothers to build their independent businesses for their families.

To make this wish a reality, we've set up a fund to collect $3,000 USD.

Would it be a bad idea, if you build a business for those moms?

↳ only $50 is needed, or any amount you can give

↳ for a lasting impact

Become a builder -> mother wins -> kid wins
