My very close friend is going through an incredibly tough and scary time in her life. She is a victim of domestic violence and her abuser is currently being prosecuted by the Special Victims Unit in the Oakland County prosecutor’s office. Due to the severity of her injuries from the attack, along with her ongoing counseling and PTSD treatments, she is unable to work. She also has to enroll in a witness confidentiality program through the state to protect her identity and location because her abuser is so dangerous.

She has three young boys, ages 5, 7, and 9, who depend on her for everything. Right now, she is on the verge of losing her apartment and urgently needs help to ensure she can care for her children during this time. The funds raised will go directly toward paying rent, utilities, and providing for her boys’ daily needs while she works to recover and keep her family safe.
