Hi, my name is MJ Mejia, and I’m raising money to help my mom get back on her feet.

This past year has been incredibly hard on her. She’s at a point where she can barely afford the basics — there’s no WiFi at home, her bills have fallen behind, and most of her food now comes from food banks. She recently filed for bankruptcy, but the process takes months before it offers any relief.

Despite all of this, she’s still working tirelessly — even picking up an extra job — while caring for her partner who’s on long-term disability. She comes home completely exhausted every day, yet she keeps pushing forward with so much strength and humility.

As a college student, I wish I could give her the help she truly deserves, but I’m already struggling under student loans myself. My mom has always been my rock — she’s done everything for me — and now, I just want to give back to her.
