My name is Jamiah(Mia) Gonzalez-Swinton, and I am the wife of SSG Michael E. Swinton. I am creating this fundraiser for myself, our daughter Aleia, and Michael’s family as we navigate the unimaginable loss of Michael.

Michael dedicated his life to serving our country with honor, and his passing has left our family heartbroken. As we grieve, we are also facing the financial burden that comes with this tragedy. Many of us have had to miss work to make arrangements, be with family, and prepare to bring Michael home and celebrate his life.

I will be the recipient of the donations and will ensure the funds are used to support our family during this difficult time. Donations will help cover immediate household expenses, bills, funeral and memorial-related costs, travel expenses for family, and provide financial support for Michael’s children. I’m also realizing we are currently living in an home that I can’t afford on my own. I’m trying to give my daughter as much stability as I can. Any remaining funds will be set aside to help provide for their future, including educational and college expenses.
