Support for Merina's Family After Transplant

Dear Friends

We are reaching out to families and friends, to ask for contributions of support for Merina's family. Merina, the Lead Caregiver at First Unitarian of Toronto, is looking after her husband, MD Tunzilur Rahman, after his double-lung transplant.

Very recently, Merina's husband had a long-awaited double-lung transplant. After living with long-covid, and being on the waitlist for the transplant for over a year, MD is now in the recuperation process, in Hospital. Merina is supported in his care by her sons, Mahir and Muntakim.

Merina, and her son, Mahir, provide families and children with consistency, kindness and gentle teaching, at the First Unitarian Nursery. We hope this monetary donation will remind their family that we are thinking of them during this challenging life event.

If we can lighten the cost of travel to the Hospital, parking fees, phone calls, or out-of-pocket expenses, we are sure this gesture will be appreciated.

This fund is not run through First Unitarian of Toronto but through a network of concerned friends, families and parents.
