My name is Meagan, and this GoFundMe is for my dad. It's no secret that 2025 has been a hard year for many, my dad included; work has been inconsistent, we've dealt with an unexpected loss in the family, and just when the year was looking like it would close without any more life to muck through, he was in an accident this week. On his way to work, driving slow and steady with the snow, an 18-wheeler passed him so fast that the tailwind caused the back end of his truck to come up and shift just enough to slip on the black ice beneath him and roll his truck twice in the median. We are so grateful to have him here with us today and in the long run, we know that is what matters. However, my dad is pretty beaten up, with a broken collarbone, as well as other injuries and bruising, and a completely totaled truck that was covered only by liability. His phone and wallet were lost in the accident, and so we didn't even know he had been in one until a cab brought him from the hospital on Tuesday evening.

I'm asking for any donations, no matter how small to help my dad get back on his feet. He will have a lot of healing ahead, but he is a painter and will need a reliable vehicle to get to work, medical costs as he works through to rehabilitate his shoulder, and a new phone; costs that currently feels daunting, if not overwhelming.

For those of you that know my dad, he is the biggest goofball and a teddy bear at heart, there's nothing he wouldn't do for someone in need if he was able to.
