During a routine ultrasound 30 weeks into my pregnancy, they found that my blood pressure had spiked to critical level. I was taken to labor and delivery where I was monitored for 2 hours where my blood pressure spiked again to somewhat critical level. I was then taken to a hospital 2 hours away from my home Saint Alexius Medical Center for a month under close observation and diagnosed with pre eclampsia. At 34 weeks, I gave birth to Matthew Raymond Taylor via c section and he was immediately taken to the NICU because of being a preemie and needing help with oxygen. Since then, the baby has had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks almost 3 with no knowledge of when he'll be released.
This all meant that I had to quit work much earlier than I was hoping with barely any vacation time saved up to help cover some time off of work as my pregnancy leave is unpaid. It has been expensive paying for hotels in order to stay up by the baby at the hospital, since otherwise it would be a two hour drive between there and home all the time. The baby showers we were going to have was on the 24th of May and the 28th of June and had to be cancelled due to my month-long stay a the hospital and no definite time of release for baby because I did not want to be away from him, which means we don't have much of the emergency baby supplies we are going to need like diapers, wipes, clothing, bottles. Some people have given us sent the presents they were going to give us to the house or personally but we do not have much. So I am putting this out there to help with emergency things we are going to need, to help pay for motels I can stay at for the foreseeable future so far as he is in the hospital, plus also so when I do bring him home I don’t immediately have to go back to work and be able to spend time at home with him. I appreciate anything you are able to give and love you all
