On the night of February 26th, our family experienced a tragedy that changed our lives forever. At 11:45 PM, my sister Mariah Hieber's apartment caught fire. The flames spread quickly, and Mariah suffered severe lung injuries from the smoke. She was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis, where she is now fighting to recover. In the midst of this devastation, we lost her beloved daughter Briella, who passed away inside the apartment. Briella was a bright light in our lives—she loved playing with the other kids at Grandma's house, dressing up, and sharing her contagious smile with everyone around her. We love and miss her dearly every single day.
As Mariah faces a long road to healing, she is also coping with the unimaginable loss of her daughter and the loss of her home. The funds raised will help cover Mariah's medical bills, provide temporary housing, and allow her to purchase necessities like clothes, hygiene products, and medicine. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping Mariah rebuild her life and find some comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
