My mom, Marcella, is a phenomenal woman who has always put others first. As the youngest of her six children, we’ve watched her dedicate her life to caring for others, starting out in a nursing home and then spending over thirty years working for Delta Airlines. Her strength and compassion have been a guiding light for our family.
In 2011, Marcella was diagnosed with breast cancer. Our family rallied around her as she bravely faced chemo and radiation, ultimately beating the disease. When Covid hit, her health concerns led her to retire early, allowing her to spend more time with her loved ones. However, the past two years have brought new challenges. Marcella was diagnosed with heart failure and has been in and out of the hospital every other month. Just two weeks ago, we received the devastating news that her breast cancer has returned and is now at an advanced stage. Because of her heart condition, she cannot undergo further chemo or radiation, and she is now at home in hospice care, living out her final days surrounded by family.
Recently, we learned that Marcella owes property taxes and other bills at her home, which we cannot afford. We are raising funds to ensure Funeral arrangements & memorial services are made. Our goal is to keep her comfortable and secure, honoring her legacy and the love she has given to so many. Any support from our community will mean the world to us and help us provide Marcella with the dignity and care she deserves.
Sadly Marcella recently passed away 05-01-26
please keep our family in you thoughts and prayers
