Support for Lynda & William-In Memory of Joel Trebisacci

On August 2, 2025, in Stonington, CT, the world lost an incredible man far too soon. Joel Trebisacci (47) passed away in a tragic accident, leaving behind two beautiful children, Lynda and William, who now face the unimaginable journey of growing up without their father.

Joel spent countless hours with his children, teaching them everything he knew about the outdoors and the ocean. He was called to the sea at a young age and made sure Lynda and William experienced its beauty, freedom, and adventure just as he had.

Joel was more than a loving dad. He was a protector, a provider, and a true friend to so many. As a licensed Sea Tow operations manager/captain, he dedicated his life to being on the water-boating, fishing, and rescuing others in need. Whether it was a family stranded at sea or a stranger in distress, Joel never hesitated to help. He was the one people called in a storm; and he always answered.

Now it’s our turn to answer the call.

Watching Lynda and William experience this loss has been heartbreaking for everyone who loves them. Joel would want to know that his community is surrounding his children with the same care and strength he gave to so many.

This fundraiser is to help provide Lynda and William with the stability they need in the months and years ahead; covering education expenses, daily necessities, and even the little joys their dad would have made sure they never went without.

Joel spent his life lifting others. Now we have the chance to lift up the children he loved more than anything.
