स्व. दुर्गा बहादुर क्षेत्रीको प्रातस्मरणीय स्मृतिमा

नमस्कार!

मेरो नाम जेरुषा पराजुली हो, र अत्यन्त भारी मनले म मेरा प्रिय श्रीमान् दुर्गा बहादुर क्षेत्रीको (Dinesh) असामयिक निधनको खबर बाँड्न विवश छु - असहाय छु । भुटानमा जन्मेका दुर्गा मेरो परिवारका आधार हुनुका साथै इमानदारी, सेवा भाव र निःस्वार्थताको प्रतिमूर्ति हुनुहुन्थ्यो । उहाँ मेरो जीवनसंगी मात्र नभई नौ महिनाका तिम्ल्या सन्तान, सात वर्षकी छोरी, र गर्भमा अर्को सन्तानसहितका चार नानीहरूको समर्पित पिता हुनुहुन्थ्यो। दुर्गाको मायाले हामीलाई सँधै दह्रो बनायो, तर उहाँको अचानक गुमावटले हाम्रो जीवन चिन्ता र अनिश्चितताको भुमरीमा फसेको छ । उहाँको माया, सहारा र मार्गदर्शन बिना अब हामीलाई अघि बढ्न अत्यान्तै गाह्रो छ । पति गुमाए पछि चार सन्तानका अनुहार हेरेर मेरो मुटुमा गाँठो परेको छ र जीवनको गति रोकिएको छ ।

उहाँको शून्यता बोकेर बाँच्नुको पीडा बयान गर्न शब्दहरू अपुग छन्, अझ त्यो पीडा वित्तीय समस्याले झन् बढेको छ। हामी दुवैको मेहनतले केही समयअघि मात्र हामी आफ्नो सपना–सुरक्षित घर र उज्यालो भविष्य–साकार पार्न थालेका थियौं, तर आज म एक्लै यी सबै बच्चाहरूको जिम्मेवारी, घरको कर्जा, दैनिकीका आम खर्च र अन्त्येष्टि खर्चको बोझसँग जुधिरहेकी छु । हाम्रो परिवार यस्तो सङ्कटका घडीमा अत्यन्त असुरक्षित र बेसहारा छ, त्यसैले देश–विदेशमा रहेका सम्पूर्ण साथीभाइ, इष्टमित्र, समुदायका शुभचिन्तकहरूसँग मेरो विनम्र अनुरोध छ–मलाई र मेरा सन्तानहरूलाई यस्ता कठिन समय पार गर्न, केही आशा, सहारा र स्थायित्व दिन सकिदिनुहोस ।

तपाईंको सानो–ठूलो सहयोग, प्रार्थना तथा सहानुभूति हाम्रा लागि निकै अर्थपूर्ण हुनेछ। प्रत्येक योगदान अन्त्येष्टि खर्च, दैनिकीका आवश्यक आवश्यकता र मेरा साना बच्चाहरूको भविष्य सुरक्षित गर्न समर्पण गरिनेछ । कृपया आउँदो अप्रिल २६, २०२५ का दिन बिहान ९:०० बजे हुने दुर्गाको अन्त्येष्टि कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित भइ पति वियोगको यस हृदय विदारक घडीमा मेरा साथमा रहि दिनु हुन पनि अनुरोध गर्दछु । यो अकल्पनीय दुखमा साथ रहनु भएकोमा र हाम्रो पीडा आशामा परिणत गर्न सघाउनु भएकोमा तपाईंहरुप्रति आभार व्यक्त गर्नु सिवाय मसँग कुनै शक्ति बाँकी रहेन ।

My name is Jerusha Parajuli, and I am originally from Belbari, Morang, Nepal. I am devastated to share the unimaginable loss of my beloved husband, Lt. Durga Bahadur Chhetri. Born in Bhutan, Durga was the rock of our family and a shining example of honor and selfless service. As a devoted husband and father to our four precious children—including our nine-month-old triplets, our seven-year-old daughter, and another little one we are expecting—his love sustained us. Suddenly, losing him has left us shattered, our lives thrown into chaos and uncertainty as we struggle to continue without his gentle guidance and caring support.

The pain of his absence is overwhelming, made even more unbearable by the reality of immediate financial hardship. We had just dared to dream of a safe home and a promising future for our growing family, but now I face the impossible task of coping with funeral costs, a new mortgage, and all the daily needs of our young children—alone. This profound loss has left us exposed and vulnerable, and I urgently appeal to the kindness of our community, near and far, to help us get through these darkest days and give my children the stability and comfort they desperately need.

Your prayers, compassion, and support—no matter the amount—will have an immediate and lasting impact. Every donation will help cover funeral expenses, provide for our family’s basic needs, and keep alive the hope that Durga worked so hard to give us.
