Support for Lois Lucious' Funeral and Repast
Donation protected
My name is Tray. I’m making this GoFundMe to raise money for my grandmother's funeral/repast. Please help me put my GG to rest properly. My grandma's name is Louis Lucious. She was a teacher for many years before switching to real estate, and she prided herself in telling people about the famous people she taught before they blew up . My grandma was a singer. She would sing to you all day, especially if you asked her. She had the sweetest soulful voice ever. She could carry a note down Highway 70 . My grandma was also a dancer. Even once she got older, you could catch my grandma hitting the splits and challenging her daughters and granddaughter to do it better than her . My GG was a blast every time you saw her. I remember when I went to Ashland Elementary on the Northside, and every teacher there had gone to college with my grandma. They’d never let me clown without threatening to call her up to the school . My grandma ran the Black History Month program at my school for years. She’d come to my school the whole month dressed in full African clothing like her boubou, kaftans, or her pagne ✊. I was literally the coolest dude in school all because I had the coolest GG in the neighborhood . She was always just a call away. Her doors stayed open, and her home was always available for the family. She had zero filter; she would tell you exactly what was on her mind, good or bad, no holding back . The type of woman who gave her last until her very last day…Lord knows this one gonna leave me a lil empty..
