My name is Joshua Colegrove As many people know, Lindley, NY was hit hard by a microburst on the evening of April 15th. My brother Ryan’s place was one of the hardest hit. A tree fell directly on his bedroom. Luckily, he had just gotten up to see what the noise was; it was hail. As he opened the door to look outside, he said it sounded like a train was coming. Then the door slammed in his face, and his trailer shook, and things came flying off the wall! He wasn’t quite sure what was going on at first, then he realized that a huge tree out back had come down on his trailer, crushing his bedroom! Not only had it hit his room, but it also hit his car and my nephew's car as well. Fortunately, neither he nor my nephew were injured, and his truck narrowly escaped damage. Unfortunately, he now has nowhere to call home. The damage is too extensive to repair, and he will continue to have to pay lot rent until he can have it removed. They are currently staying at my home while they try to find a new place to call home. They have lost a lot of their things due to all the damage from the storm. He isn’t one to ask for help, so I’m hoping we can raise some money to help with the removal of the trailer so he doesn’t have to pay lot rent on a place he can’t use, as well as helping them purchase a new place and replace those things he has lost. Any amount helps!
