Support for Lennon and a Brave Survivor

In July 2015, I was able to leave my abusive spouse because of the great kindness and generosity of strangers. I never thought it would have been possible to leave. Since leaving, I’ve graduated college, gotten my dream job, and tried to settle in after the divorce. I thought the abuse would stop when I left, but it hasn’t yet. I’ve now come to understand that it never will.

In July 2023, my abusive ex-husband surprise served me. I’m being sued for full custody. Currently, Lennon is with me 75% of the time and goes to her other parent’s house on the weekend. My ex-husband lives 50 miles away, and everything Lennon knows is right around where she and I are. This person has continued to abuse me emotionally, financially, and now legally. I have put in $6,000 for my attorney, worked as much overtime as possible, spent over $3,000 for a PCDM (parenting coordinator decision maker) because it was required in our custody agreement. Now, I have paid another $1,083 to a CFI (child family investigator), and I’m starting to get very low on my trust account with my attorney. I’ve pulled out of my 401k, sold valuable items, budgeted meticulously, and if a second job were possible, I’d be doing that.

Please help us get through the rest of this hurdle because I’m running out of steam, hope, and money. I’ve been staying afloat through credit cards, loans, and overtime. I don’t have anything left to stretch. Any and all funds received here will go directly to the trust with my attorney, who has been a life saver. Truly… anything helps.
