Honoring Craig Scheffler: Support for Kristina, Ethan and Ella
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing of a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Craig Scheffler.
What began as a brave fight at the Mayo Clinic ended in an unimaginable tragedy. Following multiple procedures and a complex brain surgery to treat an AVM, a sudden complication led to a rupture and cardiac arrest.
Despite the heroic efforts of his medical team, Craig passed away on December 17th, 2025. He leaves behind his wife, Kristina, and their two children, Ethan, and Ella, along with his parents, siblings, and many other family members.
Craig was the rock of the Scheffler household and the primary breadwinner. His absence leaves an immense emotional and financial void that no family should have to face alone.
Kristina has been the ultimate pillar of strength, remaining by Craig’s side for days at a time the last few weeks at the Mayo Clinic. With the holidays approaching and an unpaid work break starting immediately, the need for stability is urgent to ensure the family can focus on grieving rather than immediate bills. Kristina will likely not return to work for several more weeks as she helps Ella and Ethan navigate their grief, along with her own.
Our goal is to ensure that the Scheffler family is surrounded by the support they need to stay in their home and find a path forward.
