Support for Kham and His Family During Deportation

Hello to all family and friends, I am Mai (Kham's wife).

As you all may know, Kham was taken by ICE on Tuesday at 6:15 am. A normal day as we would get ready to go to work. Kham did his usual routine, kisses, hugs, and see you later. Literally about 2-3 minutes later, my baby and I walked out, and ICE was at the end of our driveway. With motherly instincts, I grabbed my daughter back inside the house and locked the door. I looked through our living room window and noticed that his car was still there. That was when I realized they took him. I ran back out to at least say my goodbyes but couldn't. They were silent, and Kham didn't make a noise and went quietly. My heart shattered to pieces, and I cried my heart out at the end of the driveway. Luckily, Kham's friend had stayed with us at the moment and was able to help me back inside the house. My love, my protector, my world, my partner in crime, my shelter was gone within the blink of an eye in the darkness.

As I'm here telling the story that shattered our world apart and affected everyone who knew and loved Kham, it took me time and courage to write this for everyone to know in detail as it is still affecting me inside.

Kham leaves a family, a home, a career and friends behind. He has shared that he is concerned for us as we are worried for him. Donations will help me directly support him in what will likely be a rapid return to Laos and will ensure we can keep a roof over baby's head here in minnesota while we figure out what happens next.

With this being said, please share any memories you had of him here, as I may not know but would love to know. All prayers and encouragement notes are needed for him. Any type of donations is welcomed. Please spread the word to everyone he knew, as I may not get to everyone.

From the bottom of my heart and sincerity, I thank you all for all the love you have given him and for sharing the pain you all have like me. I will always remember everyone, and when the time comes, I will make sure he sees this and thanks every one of you.

May everyone be safe and be with your loved ones as much as possible knowing that they are in the deportation stage.
