Support for Kevin Pearce & Family

My name is Graham Dunn. Recently my brother-in-law Kevin Pearce was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. I have known Kevin for more than 30 years and I consider him a close friend. At only 54 years old, his time here will not be nearly long enough.

Kevin is kind, considerate, and fun-loving. He is a true gentleman, a doting father to his daughters Grace and Claire, and a loving husband to his wife Stephanie. He is the type of person to give you the shirt off his back without needing a reason.

Since his diagnosis, my beloved sister, Stephanie, has worked tirelessly to ensure Kevin is well looked after. With their daughters being away at university full-time, Stephanie has been the primary care provider for Kevin.

Kevin is a person one could never get tired of being around. I admire his ability to see the brighter side of every poor situation. During this horrible time, he has kept his spirits high, and his sense of humor has never wavered. He is selfless, intelligent, and hardworking. Even throughout his time in the hospital, he made sure to get in some hours of work.

Several of Kevin’s friends and colleagues have reached out to the family with their love and support. Everything seems so inadequate in the face of such a brutal diagnosis, but perhaps collectively we can make a difference. I received their permission to set up this Go Fund Me campaign to create a tangible and truly helpful way to support Kevin’s family. Funds raised will go towards funeral expenses, university tuition for the girls, and will help Stephanie and the girls stay financially afloat as they transition to one income. I hope this will alleviate some of the financial stresses confronting them during this devastating time.

Unfortunately, too many people and their families are affected by cancer. My and Stephanie’s mother passed away from breast cancer at 54, so we have felt the pain and suffering firsthand, as I’m sure many of you have as well. Please keep Kevin, Stephanie, Grace, and Claire in your thoughts and prayers.
