Support for Keegan & Sterling Mueller

From the bottom of our hearts, we are so incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and especially prayer that has surrounded Keegan, Sterling, the kids and our family.

As some of you may know, on Thursday, March 6th, around noon, Keegan fell from a tree while working at one of his rental properties, landing face first on concrete. By God’s grace, Hatcher (9) was with him and bravely called Sterling and found help from neighbors. We are beyond grateful for the neighbors who stepped in to help Keegan and Sterling and the kids when they arrived.

Keegan was taken to Medical City Plano, where he is currently in the ICU. He sustained a traumatic brain injury, a small brain bleed, and a level 5 liver laceration, which is the primary concern. Surgery is not currently planned for the liver, as its location makes intervention risky, so the medical team is closely monitoring his healing. His vitals and blood work have been stable, which is a great sign.

He also has a fractured wrist, a spleen injury, and multiple facial fractures. His first surgery, on his wrist, is scheduled for today (Friday, March 7th), and he is tentatively scheduled for facial reconstruction surgery on Tuesday. The most urgent prayer request is for his liver to heal on its own, avoiding the need for surgery.

To our community—thank you. The care for Keegan, Sterling, and the kids has been overwhelming in the best way. Meals, prayers, and support have made such a difference.

We anticipate the financial burden of this journey to be significant given Keegan’s injuries, the surgeries required, and the length of his hospital stay. At this time, the total costs are unknown, and we will adjust the fundraising goal as we learn more.
