Hello, we’re the Amaral Family, reaching out with a heavy heart. Juan, our dad, was recently diagnosed with metastatic cancer that has spread to his spine. This news has changed everything for our family. Our dad, Juan, has always been our sole provider, working hard at a job that requires heavy lifting. Now, because of his diagnosis, he can no longer do the physical work he once did, and we’ve had to step in to help with the tasks he used to handle. We encourage him to rest and focus on his health, but the reality is that his inability to work is putting a strain on our family’s finances. We have bills and medication coming up, and after he stayed in the hospital for a little, we’re worried about covering daily living expenses and gas for his regular oncologist appointments.

Juan is well known in our church community. He’s always the first to help out at retreats, attends Matrimony group with my mom, and is famous for the tacos he makes—everyone loves them! He has a strong faith in God and so do we. Even when he’s having a hard time, my dad always makes everyone laugh and gives the best advice. His positive spirit and willingness to help others have touched many lives. When people learned about his diagnosis, the outpouring of support was immediate, but the challenges remain. My younger siblings and I are still in school, and my dad worries about how to provide for us and keep up with bills. Despite everything, our family is staying strong and keeping faith that Juan will get through this. We’re doing our best to support him and each other, but we need help to get through this difficult time.

Hola, somos la Familia Amaral! Le decimos con un corazón pesado que nuestro papá Juan, fue diagnosticado recientemente con cáncer metastásico que se ha extendido a su columna. Esta noticia ha cambiado todo para nuestra familia. Nuestro papa, Juan siempre ha sido nuestro único proveedor, trabajando duro en un empleo que requiere levantar cosas pesadas. Ahora, debido a su diagnóstico, ya no puede hacer el trabajo físico que solía hacer, y nosotros hemos tenido que ayudar con las tareas que él solía manejar. Incluso cuando está pasando por momentos difíciles, mi papá siempre hace reír a todos y da los mejores consejos. Su espíritu positivo y su disposición para ayudar a los demás han tocado muchas vidas. Cuando la gente se enteró de su diagnóstico, el apoyo fue inmediato, pero los desafíos continúan. Mis hermanos menores y yo seguimos en la escuela, y mi papá se preocupa por cómo proveer para nosotros y mantenerse al día con las cuentas. A pesar de todo, nuestra familia se mantiene fuerte y con fe en que Juan saldrá adelante. Hacemos todo lo posible por apoyarlo y apoyarnos mutuamente, pero necesitamos ayuda para superar este momento difícil.
