JP Chess was started in July 2021 and has been meeting in Jamaica Plain, Boston every week since. We hold tournaments and participate in community events such as Open Streets. We don't charge any fees for our gatherings or tournaments but rely on financial donations and the time of volunteers. In 2025 we had over 300 players sign up to email or Facebook. At the weekly gatherings we often have 24+ players attend of all ages and abilities. Your donation will help us continue to provide JP and the local communities with chess gatherings and tournaments.
