If you’re from Campbellsville, Taylor County, or the surrounding area, chances are you know the name Jon Hawkins—or as many of us call him, Jon Jon. Jon is truly one of a kind: fun-loving, kind, generous, and always ready to help with that unforgettable laugh of his.
Jon has poured his heart into this community for years. He’s been involved with the Fire Department, coached youth football, supported the Jaycees, served on the 4th of July and Christmas Parade committees, and been active at Pleasant Run Church. And if you’ve ever attended a local fundraiser or benefit, there’s a good chance Jon was there—helping organize, volunteering, donating, or cheering people on. Simply put, Jon embodies the spirit of this town.
Unfortunately, over the past few months Jon has faced significant health challenges that led to a major surgery. His recovery and rehabilitation will be long and difficult. Both Jon and Laura, have had to take time off work, and with bills, travel expenses, meals, and everyday costs, the financial strain is already overwhelming.
As friends and family, we want to do everything we can to ease that burden. While there will be fundraisers and benefits in the coming months, Jon and Laura need help now. That’s where this community comes in.
We are asking for your prayers, generosity, and support during this difficult time. Let’s give back to a man who has given so much to all of us. Every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference, and sharing this page helps more than you know.
There’s no set number we’re aiming for—our goal is simply to go above and beyond for Jon and Laura, just as they’ve always done for others.
Please keep Jon, Laura, and their family in your prayers as Jon continues this long road to recovery. Thank you for the incredible love and support you’ve already shown—it means the world to them.
