My name is Joana, and right now, my two young children and I are facing an incredibly difficult time. My 8-month-old daughter, my 4½-year-old son who has severe autism, and I are currently living in a homeless shelter. Every day is a challenge as I try to provide for their basic needs while navigating the uncertainty of our situation. We are in urgent need of essentials like diapers, wipes, butt creams, and food—things that many families may take for granted, but that are so critical for us right now.
As a mother, my greatest wish is to give my children stability and a sense of security, even in these tough circumstances. My son’s special needs require extra care and attention, and my baby daughter depends on me for everything. Your support would mean the world to us. It would help us get the supplies we need and allow me to focus on my children’s well-being, rather than worrying about how to meet their most basic needs.
Anything you can give would be helpful, and I am so grateful for any support we receive. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping my babies and me. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in our lives.
