This GoFundMe page is dedicated to the memory of Jimi Beauston and in support of his daughter, Maggie Beauston.
Jimi was a Charleston boy from the beginning, who lived a life bringing much song and laughter to all people in his life. He often recounted his journeys as a member of the bluegrass band “The Zassoff Boys” and I am smiling to think he is reunited with them again. Jimi faced many challenges in his final years, fighting through a double-lung transplant and various forms of cancers. Through this, he displayed immense strength and humor - an inspiration to his family and friends. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Maggie Beauston (18), and stepchildren Christian (24) and Abigail Brumme (27), all who were centerpieces of his life. His love for them carried him through so much.
Jimi’s long journey ended March 25th, as he found peace alongside his family.
Maggie's final months of high school are difficult enough. Maggie is a kind, bubbly young woman who works hard at school and work. Despite her circumstances, she continued to show her strengths to me and my family. Through her love of music, she is surely Jimi’s little girl. She is an outstanding member of Wando’s Show Choir, serves the elderly at Franke @ Seaside, and enjoys celebrating her faith in Youth Group at LifePark Church. Jimi’s joy of music has led Maggie to pursue Music Education, where she will decide between Belmont University or The University of South Carolina.
We would love Maggie to finish her senior year without any undue stress or burden and continue onto college under normal circumstances.
With the loss of her father and no further income due to many medical expenses, Maggie needs all kinds of support.
Therefore, we are asking for donations to help Maggie cover the immediate expenses left behind and to pursue her passion in college. All funds will go directly to an account under Maggie's name.
