Hello, my name is Nici Roesel. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my stepsister, Jen, who works for Children's as a physical therapist, and my stepbrother-in-law, Ryan, who is a paramedic for Erlanger Fire Department, along with my nephews and niece (Knox - 8 years old, Remi - 7 years old, and Palmer - 5 years old).

On February 13th, they lost their house to a fire located in the kitchen. Ryan found out about it as he was coming back home from getting the kids from school. Burlington Fire Department was also on the scene when he arrived.

There are thousands of dollars worth of damage to their beautiful home, and everything is a loss due to the carcinogens. So, they have lost everything! Including the family dog, Arnie, who passed over the rainbow bridge from too much smoke inhalation. They're devastated, to say the least. This family has to start from scratch. I can't even imagine what a heartbreak this is for them. No one is ever truly prepared for a tragedy like this.
