My name is Amanda Firth and I am a family member of Janet & Patti‘s.

On July 16th, 2025 Janet and Patti were in a very serious accident which has left both of them with serious injuries and a very long road ahead of them.

Janet is at the trauma centre in Victoria BC. She sustained 10 fractures in her ribs, a broken clavicle, some damage to her lung and her pelvis is broken in several places. She also has some small fractures in her lower vertebrae, but nothing paralyzing. Janet is having the first of several surgeries today to fix the ribs then will be able to shift to the collarbone and pelvis. Trevor is currently with her in Victoria.

Patti is at a trauma centre in Nanaimo BC. She has 9 fractures in her ribs, a partially collapsed lung, concussion and a lot of road rash. Paulette is with Patti at her hospital.

Both Janet and Patti will have a long road ahead of them with surgeries, appointments and therapy. We are asking for any little bit of help to ease the financial strain for the next little while of you are able. All proceeds will go directly to Janet and Patti.
