Support for Jack Arrowsmith

Hi, my name is Darien, and I'm writing this on behalf of Dan Arrowsmith.

It saddens me to announce Randy Arrowsmith has passed away from the addiction he's been fighting since I can remember. Words cannot describe the emotion my family and I have endured over the last 48 hours.

Addiction is a topic many people are quick to judge on; I believe unless you've been there, you don't understand the battles addicts face daily. I watched my Dad struggle continuously from a young age. Addiction takes the lives of so many people; it's unfortunate and can change lives in a matter of seconds. If you have addiction issues, please reach out for help.

My Dad was the type to give someone his last $20, even if it meant going hungry for a night. He cared deeply for others around him struggling. Randy could make everyone feel comfortable, walking into one of his bars; it didn't matter if you were from Dunnville or not, it didn't matter if he knew you or not; his heart wanted anyone and everyone to feel welcome. Randy's vigilance to read a crowd was unmatched. From a young age, my old man had a gift for the game of Golf; his talent for the game was so effortless he made it look easy. I will never forget all the hours I spent with my Dad and that bond we shared. Our family will never forget some of the amazing things Randy did on and off the course.

The amount of support thus far has been incredible; it just goes to show how much everyone loved him.

Jack Arrowsmith and Randy Arrowsmith shared a very special bond; it shatters my heart that my little brother Jack Arrowsmith at only 11 years of age, has to continue his journey throughout life without his Father. We will use all support raised strictly for Jack Arrowsmith's future as we guide him into the man Randy would be proud of.

I'm at a complete loss for words; we greatly appreciate any support on behalf of myself and our entire family.
