On August 6th, 2025, I witnessed a serious car accident near Tacoma Community College. I immediately stopped to help, finding a mother and her three children in urgent need of assistance. The family had suffered major injuries, including broken limbs and severe pain, and their vehicle was completely totaled. One of the children was especially hurt, with a leg broken in two places, and I did my best to comfort her until emergency services arrived.

Since that day, I have stayed in touch with the family through a translator and Google Translate. They are immigrants working toward citizenship, and this accident has made their situation even more difficult. With mounting hospital bills and no transportation, they are struggling to meet their basic needs and cannot get to work or the grocery store. The family received a citation after the accident, adding to their stress and uncertainty about the future.
