I don’t even know where to begin… because one moment changed everything for us.

My husband was involved in a devastating 18-wheeler accident while working. His truck was completely destroyed. For a period of time, he was unconscious… and no one even knew where he was.

I was the one making calls, trying to find him, trying to piece together what happened—praying the entire time that he was still alive.

By the time he was found and rushed to the hospital, our lives had already changed forever.

By the grace of God, he survived. But what we’re facing now is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

He is currently battling multiple serious injuries and complications. He has blood clots in his leg and in his lungs. He suffered multiple fractures between his hip and leg and has already undergone surgery. He is now working through physical therapy and occupational therapy just to regain basic mobility. That is highly limited at this moment.

Even the smallest things have been hard on his body. His heart rate has spiked dangerously high just from trying to stand, move in bed or use the restroom. His kidneys and liver were also damaged in the accident, and he is now dealing with cardiac-related concerns that doctors are continuing to monitor closely.

Watching someone you love fight like this… (Especially when he has always been like Superman) and feeling so helpless… is a kind of pain I can’t fully put into words.

We are so grateful he’s still here. But the reality is—this is just the beginning of a long, hard recovery.

We don’t even know yet when he will be released from the hospital. And even when he is able to come home, the road ahead will still be long. He will continue needing care, therapy, and support just to get back to any level of normalcy.

He has made the decision to come home instead of going to a rehab facility so that he can be close to our daughters. Because of that, we will be taking on the responsibility of his home health care and the needs that come with it. He will also have a home-health company coming into the home to assist. He will also require multiple medical supplies and equipment at home for assistance. Possibly including oxygen.

And overnight… everything financially changed.

My husband has always been a provider. He worked tirelessly—his trucking job and his tattoo work—to take care of our family. In an instant, both incomes were gone. I do work full-time, but in retrospect we have lost two additional incomes.

Now I’m trying to hold everything together—working full-time, taking care of our children, managing our home, and showing up for him through all of this. I am in search of a second job, or part-time work to keep our heads above water. I know he has always went above and beyond for our family and now it’s my turn. I’m more than prepared.

I’m doing everything I can… but I am overwhelmed.

If you know me and my husband, then you know we don’t ask for help. This is hard for me to even write. But right now, I have to be honest—we need help.

We have four daughters. Ages 14, 14, 10, and 16 months. We love them so much. We just wan o be sure we are able to continue to provide for them. Our savings will exhausted quickly due to day to day needs, travel for me two hours to the hospital and to work and our typical home needs. I’m also paying for childcare for the kids when I can’t be home at night. That’s because I don’t want to take advantage of my families kindness. Our savings was for a down payment on purchasing a home. But we are exhausting at a rapid rate.

We are asking for support to help cover:
• Basic living expenses and monthly bills
• Medical, therapy, and home health care needs, travel expenses to and from Huntsville
• Day-to-day support while he is unable to work and heal

Every single donation, every share, every prayer—it truly matters.

We are just trying to take this one day at a time… and bring him home so he can heal surrounded by the people who love him most.

Thank you for simply reading, for caring, and for standing with our family during one of the hardest times of our lives. It’s appreciated more than you’ll ever know.
