The COVID-19 outbreak in Nassau County has shut down many places of work, including universities. Many student workers and community members are financially insecure in light of this news and unsure if they can afford rent, mortgage payments, groceries, medical bills, among many more essential expenses.
These funds will go to university students and residents of Uniondale/Hempstead in need of financial support, who can fill out our mutual aid form at this link. Support will be provided on a case-by-case basis to fulfill the different needs of our neighbors and our uses of these funds will be made public on this spreadsheet anonymously to protect their privacy.
