My mom fell victim to a phishing scam and is out $2000. My mother is a very hard worker, and this morning (11/04/25) she got a call from what seemed to be Wells Fargo, but it was someone spoofing their number to look like Wells Fargo. I’m not going to air out everything that happened, but everything sounded so legit until it wasn’t. She sent out $2000 on Zelle; the dude started to raise his voice because she was so skeptical and hung up immediately after realizing what she had done. Wells Fargo and Zelle said there is nothing they can do, so we are resorting to going to the police. PLEASE, help my mother get this money back. This is money she can’t afford to lose.
