Hi, my name is Dani and I'm creating this fundraiser to help support one amazing group of kids. Over the past couple of years, a group has formed in the rural town of Pedasi, Panama. Founded by Jackie (a dance teacher), and Waleska (a gymnastics coach), they formed a gymnastics dance group to provide an activity for local children. The group has grown and the kids and coaches have shown their dedication. Kids have improved, but most importantly, they have learned lots of life skills through this group. In a small town, this group has provided so much joy and unity, and we are honored to be a part of it.

Now, the gymnastics dance group has grown to around 25 members and has recently become an official Gymnastics Club in Panama. This is very exciting news, and the kids are beginning to compete in competitions. Unfortunately, resources are very scarce and they have very little equipment for training. Currently, classes are being held at the basketball court, or at coach Waleska's house where she has some basic mats, a small bar, and a low balance beam. The monetary need is high, as are the spirits of all the children and families.

The mayor of our town, Miguel Batista, has provided help with transportation, which has allowed the kids to do some single-day training trips to the city. He has also recently donated a plot of land, and the plan is to start building a small gym as soon as possible. We hope that the funds raised here can help this group get on its way. The funds will help ease the burden of competition entry fees, lodging needs, necessary training equipment, team wear, and hopefully the ability to start building.

This is a very special group of kids that will thrive with our help.

As an outsider in the community, it has been wonderful seeing our daughter embraced by the group, but also able to find her own passion and energy for gymnastics over this past year. If you have any questions or comments about this group, please reach out!
