I'm raising money on behalf of my grandmother in hopes to give her a cushion of savings and assistance with cremation costs after losing my grandfather unexpectedly on Jan. 11th. My grandpa took care of everything for them - finances, laundry, lawn care, groceries, and she is simply overwhelmed by the thought of doing all this herself. This is exacerbated due to the fact that she has some limitations with mobility, eyesight, and hearing.

They have a few needed home repairs - in particular, the porch steps need to be replaced as the stone is crumbling, a leaky faucet that needs to be repaired, and a new lawnmower is needed once winter is over.

My grandparents were together longer than they were not, and truly were two halves of the same soul. They experienced a lot of loss together and became caregivers for my mother, their only child, as she was losing her battle with cancer in 2016.

I'm hoping to present her with some funds to alleviate any concerns she has about what's to come in the future and set her up for success with a comfortable, safe home as she starts a new journey adjusting to life without her rock. She is one of the sweetest, most selfless people I know, always thinking of others and asking for nothing for herself.
