Hello, my name is Sophia. I am the primary caretaker of my mother, Gracie Luna, who has been battling dementia since January 2025. This past year, I've seen her fight the hardest I've ever seen. If you knew my mother, you know she is as strong as an ox, but to see her this way has been absolutely devastating. The dementia has progressed very rapidly over the course of 11 months. On Christmas Day 2025, my mother was rushed to the ER and placed in ICU. She was able to come home on New Year's Day, but is now on hospice and given only weeks left with us.
