My grandmother Gloria was without question the matriarch of our family. She raised her 3 children and when they weren't able to take care of their own kids, she helped raise her 7 grandchildren, me included. When I found myself needing help, she adopted 3 of my children at the age of 81. For the last 7 years, she has helped form them into respectful young adults. 
Over the past 6 months, she agreed to weekly family dinners which she cherished. We enjoyed spending time with her, listening to her childhood memories (her memory was like a vault) and we ALWAYS made sure she had fresh flowers.
After her health started declining rapidly, my brother, sister and I stepped in to help her when she needed it most.
Sunday November 15th, the Lord called her home to be reunited with her loving mother and siblings.
Regretfully, she didn't have any life insurance in place for her adopted children. My brother Richard is taking the steps to become their legal guardian.
