Support for Gerry York's Family

"There's a little black spot on the sun today..." due to the unexpected passing of our beloved Gerry York. This campaign has been put together in hopes to offer his wife, Michelle, some financial stability during this unbearable time as she navigates through the unanticipated financial hurdles tied to the loss of her husband and the father of their 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte.

Gerry was a Disneyland cast member of over 33 years. While he would humbly call himself an "attractions host," as he worked on many attractions over the course of his career there, he is most famous for the 20+ years he spent on the World Famous Jungle Cruise as a skipper, trainer, mentor and lead. His Disneyland community created a Facebook Group for all to share their wonderful stories of Gerry and dedicated it to his daughter, Charlotte, so that she'll know how special her daddy was to so many people outside of his family.

Gerry was enigmatic and had perfected the art of leaving people wanting more... more of his jokes, more of his infinite knowledge (from music and movies all the way to the mundane - our family spent countless holidays losing to him at every version of Trivial Pursuit that we had), more of his mentorship, and more of his time. His existence was proof that many lives can be impacted by seemingly small acts of kindness and generosity.
