My name is Siamanave Dinoyo and I am writing this story on behalf of my dear friend/neighbors
Gary and Lucy Gassman.
On the evening of April 18th the home of Gary and Lucy Gassman has gone up in flames. The two were struck with tragedy hearing the news. Their home gone within hours, alongside personal belongings and memories. Keepsakes that are irreplaceable, memories that were cherished all gone within an instant.
Although having to be misplaced of their home both Gary and Lucy are alive and were not home when the incident took place. Unfortunately their beloved pet babies did not survive. Heartbreakingly they are faced with the reality of having to start over. Gary who is a senior and long retired is needing our help alongside his wife who is working. But both cannot do this alone. Having to rebuild their home from scratch to replacing furniture, documents and everyday essentials is a mental toll on oneself.
As of right now im asking the community to help my neighbors in their despairing situation. With only the clothing left on their backs they will need to get essentials for food and daily necessities. Clothing and personal items will need to be replaced. Counseling and therapy sessions. And they will have to review what the long-term costs of repairs it will take to rebuild.
Again I am reaching out to anyone who is willing to donate to my dear sweet neighbors Gary and Lucy. No donation is too small and let’s all show some kindness and support for our dear friends. Any amount will make a meaningful difference. All donations will go directly to Gary and Lucy and I will post updates. Funds being donated will help with their goal of recovering.
