One of our longest serving ATC team members will be moving out from behind the screen to enjoy more of what’s important in this life. Garry Johnston has been battling cancer off and on since 2021 - and it has progressed to Stage 4. Garry has been advised by his care team that his time could be limited to just 2 years, and that he should shift his focus now to spending time with the people and things he loves. Garry has 2 adult sons and lots of fish yet to catch.
For those of you who don’t know Garry, he has been a dedicated employee of DRC for 19 years. He started with ATC when we were faxing requisitions to neuro and MSK as a Monday – Friday daytime job. He helped us get started with our own PACS and VR and start integrating sites one by one. He was there as our department grew and changed into a 24/7 operation. He’s seen departments come and go, office buildings move from Bannock to Lakewood, and always approached the ever-changing environment with a spirit of camaraderie.
Through all the changes, we always knew that we could count on seeing Garry first thing in the morning, every morning, snowstorm or sunshine, in the cubicle with the Dallas Cowboys blanket.
Please consider supporting Garry so he can focus on the people and things that he loves. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
