Support for Gaby's Family: Roof Crisis

Hi everyone, my name is Gaby. My dad is a disabled Air Force veteran and single parent, taking care of me and my younger brother and providing us the world. Last March, our roof started leaking and our landlords did nothing but put a tarp over it and said they’d fix it by April 8th. They never did, despite us saying the leaks were getting worse. Every room in our house has been leaking, but most importantly, our living room.

As of Friday, June 13th, at 6:00-6:30 AM, a part of our ceiling collapsed. Not only that, but multiple light fixtures in our house, like our dining room for example, have water leaking through them and dripping down. Our ceiling has multiple cracks in each room, and they won’t be fixing the hole in the living room or the issues in the dining room until Monday, potentially.

My dad has always been stubborn when it comes to asking for help, so I’m going to ask on his behalf. We REALLY fear that the condition of this house will continue to go downhill as there are other severe issues with the house. We’d like to move by next month before we pay rent on July 11th. Money is and has been really tight, and we can’t afford rent plus deposits. We appreciate every little bit of help towards this. Thank you all for reading our story.
