In 2018, my father, Joseph Jones, was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer, a rare, slow-growing cancer that caused a multitude of challenging symptoms. He received many rounds of chemo as well as radiation. He battled for nearly 8 years and was able to maintain quality of life while continuing to play music locally, ride his motorcycles, and retire in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. He has now entered hospice and is being cared for around the clock by his partner, Jaleen.
Jaleen has supported my father throughout his illness since day one. Over the years, she has been his primary caregiver, offering him comfort, companionship, and support through every stage of his illness. Jaleen's support for my father has been unwavering, and I am deeply grateful for her presence in my father's life.
If you are able, please consider contributing to help alleviate some of the financial stress she has faced. Your support will make a meaningful difference for both Jaleen and my father during this incredibly difficult time.
