After purchasing their first home, my friend and her husband were so excited to begin this new chapter. What should have been one of the happiest times in their lives quickly became overwhelming.
Shortly after moving in, they discovered the home has a cesspool rather than being connected to the town sewer system , an unexpected and significant expense. On top of that, recent severe weather caused ice dams and extensive damage throughout the house. Walls, ceilings, and floors have had to be removed, leaving large portions of their home, including the kitchen and bathroom unusable. With open walls, exposed spaces, and ongoing construction, it’s becoming impossible for them and their two dogs to stay safely in their home.
We are hoping to raise $3,000 to help cover insurance deductibles and temporary lodging expenses while repairs are completed and their home is made safe and livable again.
Any support whether through a donation or simply sharing this page truly means the world. Thank you for helping my friends get through this difficult time.
